I was in Walgreens Pharmacy today and they told me that the much anticipated new machine is finally coming in a few days. Their machine was always breaking so this has been a long time coming and everyone is happy…except for one thing: The new machine is print only from digi files and they will not longer be able to develop film. I am so frigging bummed!!!!
The thing is, there is one other local place that will develop film and that is CVS pharmacy. The CVS is in a grubby old store front near downtown so I always hate to go in there… and also the people are not very friendly.
So even though Walgreens is more expensive, I prefer to take my film there because everyone is so nice and they know exactly what I want, develop only and do not cut the negatives. But the single biggest reason was that the Walgreens people do not care if I want to have slide film developed xpro and that is where the current problem lies. CVS is VERY picky and they refuse to do my slide film because they say it contaminates their chemicals. Grrrrr.
So now everytime I want my slide film done I’m going to have to send it out which will be more expensive and more of a hassle. And CN film will now have to go to CVS or get sent out.
I’m disgusted. A plague on the Digital Zombies. :(
