The LC-A is the perfect camera to walk through a city and take snapshots of all things around me without thinking too much about it. Here we passed one of the rabbits, who is normally all day occupied to tell the future to everybody who is willing to pay for it. But even hard working bunnies need a break - and I am happy to capture such moments with the LC-A.

Photos on Pages Volume 1: Taxi Driver by Steve Schapiro

As analogue lovers, there's no telling in how much we adore film photographs. Seeing one's shots on actual prints and compiled in a book brings visual elation and self-gratification. Photos on Pages is a new series which features photo-books by great photographers. In this first volume, the spotlight is on Steve Schapiro and his exclusive photography for Taxi Driver.

A perfect moment spotted on my way to Penn Station after a night out in New York Town. A giant cloud was rolling behind the unlit Mr. Empire, creating a great eerie silhouette. I propped myself against a mailbox and held my Brownie Hawkeye's shutter open for dear life. A minute and a half later the cloud had rolled away and the image had been captured. Just in case you are wondering why this photo has a different hue than my others taken with the same camera and film, it is because this is a scan of the print and not of the negative as the others are.

Could be a poster alluding to unhappy husbands or maybe, unhappy people in general. Amazing how photography lets us play with the subjects, and more than that, portray emotions and project meanings, set in a small frame for public consumption. (potd 24.10.11)

Abdul is a boy from Afgahnistan. He lived a year in the hospital where I work. In the time we became friends. Those are pictures of his farewell party.

As part of a commemoration for the Kobe earthquake, this "paper church" aims for the rebuilding of communities and exchange of experiences. Rubble from the earthquake went into this building. This community center is the site for performance events and community interaction. It is constructed with exposed steel structure to keep it securely structural. Since its construction in 2005, this project by Shigeru Ban has grown to unite the local community and has stood as a significant friendship tie between Japan and Taiwan, with children's activities, music, performance, and celebrations.

This is the first of what should be the "Don Pig" series. Hope you like it as much as I did shooting it. Big thanks to my friend Charlie for portraying this character with such enthusiasm.

How to Load Your Film to Do Double Exposures

I love to do double exposures with my Lomo friends in and out the country. I love to see different cultures, the cities and life in general in one frame of picture. But apart from mark the film to do successful double exposures, there is an easier method...
