    Interview with Photographer Maria Kazvan

22-year-old Maria Kazvan studies Journalism, though this isn't her passion. She loves taking people's portraits and strives to fully capture expressions on her subject's faces so as to expose their underlying emotions. Brimming with ideas and passion, we expect her photographic desires, explained in the interview, will soon come to fruition!

i had this shooting with a friend of mine last week and it was really fun. it was the first time i asked someone and she said OK. nice, different and very unusual pregnancy pics. but as it was the first time and i´m really an amateur i didn´t consider some things but some shots came out quite good. BTW: the popping blue and red is due to scan mode "colour correction".

i was in a park with the baby carrier and thought it is perfect light and location for a double. was looking for someone to be the ghost but most people passing by looked kinda "don´t talk to me!". i almost gave up when this guy with a DSLR came across. perfect! i asked him and he was interested in analogue and as his special interest is shoooting stars he told me some things about it. i talked to the right guy i think. will hopefully someday try to do what he told me.

  • Belair - my first three rolls

    shared by megzeazez on 2012-12-03

I was really excited to receive my Belair a week ago, and immediately shot three rolls. Two of them are 6X6 and one is 6X9, all with the 90mm lens. I have yet to try 6X12 but am excited to do it soon. One thing I noticed in all three rolls is that I need to work on framing my shot. Just like the first few times I took out the Diana, I'm chopping off heads! So I will be more conscious of this with future rolls as I learn what works best and what doesn't. I'm excited to see how well the auto exposure works and I can't wait to shoot another roll.
