Felt the need to get away from my desk in the middle of the day so I went for a walk in the woods behind our office during my lunch break... F1.9 with fast shutter speed (sorry, I can't remember the exact settings)

Driftwood candle stick holder on our kitchen table..... I turned the lights off, set the camera to Bulb..... I turned the lights on in the room for a few seconds, then turned the lights off again.... keeping the aperture open, I lit the candle for half a second,..... This allowed the ambent light to illuminate the driftwood and still show the yellow of the flame.

Not sure why, but I thought a fashion magazine type of pose would be kind cool on our bookcase where we keep our recipe books.... Do not know where this inspiration came from, but I kinda like it :-)

Long exposure..... Lights turned off, aperture open. Lights on for a fraction of a second..... I then lit the blowtorch flame and let it burn for a second.... Then I closed the shutter..... The sparks are from where I failed to get a flame from the lighter.... Oops!

    shared by jsmcbride on 2011-08-16

Standing room only people! These are the plastic grab handles on the local bus service... NEVER seen them in use, but they do swing hypnotically as I stare at them vacantly on my commute home. All pictures in this album were achieved by using a 24mm square mask (with clear tape around the edge for "cracked" effect) in a Holga 120CFN... The Film used was cheap ISO200 35mm Kodak (99p per roll).

I have not shot with the plain Lomo Redscale 100 film very much so I thought I'd give it a whirl again. I prefer the redder tones in the XR I think but this one has it's moments too... :).
