A Ghostly Tower
Soldier's Tower, University of Toronto. This tower contains a manually-played carillon, as well as a museum of WWI & II memorabilia. The carillon keyboard is roughly at clock level. There is a practice keyboard (hooked up to a glockenspiel) just below the clock level where I've spent many happy solitary hours after hoofing up the tight round circular stairs. The museum is below clock level, about 1/2 up the tower. A stained-glass window on the far side (not in photo) is part of it. Couple second night time exposure, also end of the roll. I'm a little surprised it came out as clearly as it did, given the conditions. Hooray for 800-speed film and ambient city light pollution? Taken Tuesday, February 1, 2011.
