  • Vacations in Mancora with Horizon Perfekt

    shared by joseman on 2012-02-23

Photos of my short vacations to the beach. Mancora is 970km away from Lima. We drove all night to get there but we had a great time. Great hotel, beautiful beach and a gorgeous blue sky. I'm not used to see those colors in Lima.

It was Christmas eve. I borrowed my friend's camera, a NIkon N2000. It was my firs time using a camera with lightmeter and several lenses. I was my first try with Fuji velvia too, so I didn't know what to expect from this photos. My birthday was close, so Qrro (http://www.lomography.es/homes/qrro) gave the film and also gave me some tips about using the lightmeter. The results: Overexposed, dark and not focused photos. I wasn't sure if i wanted to share them because I'm not completly happy with this album, but I really like some of the results. These are my favorites :)

  • We will rise again

    shared by ihave2pillows on 2012-03-16

Hope in the midst of destruction. I was pretty stunted when I first saw it. This picture has such deep impact on me that it reignited my love for the Diana F+. Honestly, I wouldn't care even if nobody else liked it. But for the first time in my life, a print shop asked if they could hang a signed copy of my picture on their wall :-)

The eyes are cool, but kind of creepy. They are actually benches on one side. My kids are hiding on the other side trying not to have their pictures taken!

Balboa Park is one of my favorite places to go in San Diego. It's a great place to spend a day or two or even a week. There are many museums, a zoo, wonderful park areas and even an outdoor pipe organ. If you go, be certain to visit the Museum of Photographic Arts. It's small but mighty and the gift shop has great Lomo stuff.

I finally broke down and bought an LC-A+RL and a splitzer. This roll of film was my first attempt at using both the camera and splitzer. I love the camera and the splitzer! I can tell this is going to be fun!!!
