Art in Progress (#3)
A partially painted mural along Dupont Street, Toronto. This mural has an interesting history: The original, similar-themed, commissioned mural in this location was painted over in May 2011, with no public consultation, after someone complained to the city that it was 'political'. After some pointed rebuttals and news coverage, as well as a few graffiti-scrawled bits on the newly painted-over wall that specifically referred to censorship (these were also removed by the city), a new piece by the original artist is now in progress. I'll continue to update pictures of it as it is completed.
