I've finally found myself some "me time". For a number of reasons, the last two weekend afternoons saw me alone in our house -- which was quite a surprise since I have always spend them with my wife and kids -- and while I thought it was easy to kill time with cable TV around, I realized that it was better to go out and shoot.

With a brand new year in tow, most of us have every intention to do something new in our lives for a change or to continue the things that has worked for us the past year. The same way goes to our lomo life. Lomography being a way of life already for most of us, it has become a part of our plans for the up-coming year.

2012 was a fruitful analogue year for me. I have purchased the cameras that I have focused on purchasing and then some. Although I failed to purchase another one which I was saving up with my piggies, nonetheless I'm satisfied with my so-called "Purchases of the Year."

Using redscale film or having to DIY your own redscale film, you know deep inside that you are now officially a lomographer. This is because redscale is uniquely used by lomographers. By now, there are hundreds of apps that would recreate a lomograph, but the real thing is still way, way better. Still, there hasn't been an app that would create the beauty of a redscale photograph. Filters yes, but still no dice!

They say that High school are the best days of our lives. What if you spend you grade school and high school days in just one school? And to top it all, it's an exclusive all-boys school. Then probably you've just experienced one hell of a childhood. This I did, when I finished both elementary and high school in Marist School.

In the heart of the Makati Business District, which is considered as the main business district of Manila, lies a quiet, small space that could relieve all the stresses one would have in a day's work. It is no Central Park, New York, but it brings the same calming ambiance one needs to take his/her mind off work. Read on and discover this little place called the Ayala Triangle Gardens.

One of my favorite things about shooting analogue is you can do a double exposure on one single frame. Whether hitting that MX switch or having to do a film swap with other lomographers gets me so excited with the results. Here are a few of my favorite doubles and film swap shots that I have.

Summer season means time for a beach escape. But for this year, it seemed like this was the busiest year, work-wise. So my friends and I forgot to make reservations, even worst, we forgot to talk or plan anything for the summer. This didn't stop us from going though.

I recently purchased one of my dream cameras. It wasn't on my bucket list for 2012, but I have always dreamed of owning one. So, when the opportunity came, I didn't hesitate in buying one.

Many have done self-portraits in so many creative ways. Most of us do it to somehow show our audience a glimpse of who we are or the camera we so dearly love. But for some, their self-portraits have become a mark of identity that whenever you see those photos, you will know it’s that person.

What I like most about using an expired film is its unpredictability. An expired film pretty much loses some of its known characteristics or not at all. So when using them you just don’t know what you’re going to get. What more if you push the film into extraordinary situations. Like this 2010 expired Sensia 100 for instance.

I was never a big fan of hip-hop and its whole genre. I have always been the punk, hardcore kind of a guy. I hear it but never gave it a chance to really immerse in it. This change when a friend gave me my first hip-hop/R&B mixtape.

How does one travel the world with limited resources and limited vacation leaves from work? For us lomographers, this would not be a hindrance. Conquering the world is within reach.

When shooting street photography, most of us analogue users prefer do to do it in black and white, as it shows the rawness of the streets. The photos have more drama and character. My choice of film to capture all these is Fuji Neopan Acros 100.

Pre-nuptial shoot has become a necessity or a requirement when preparing for a wedding. I remember before, the shoots only took place on the wedding day itself. But now, pre-nup shoots have become inevitable or has become an event itself.

Here's a tipster on how to use a redscale film without getting the full reddish effect or outcome of the film. If you want to get a result that brings out a yellow/gold effect, this tipster is for you.

What the Hell is Lomography?! That was the first thing that came into my mind when I first discovered Lomography. I discovered Lomography through a friend, who posted an album in his Multiply site with pictures of his band, Shoulder State, lomographed by another friend. I was liked, F**K! This is way cool!

With the start of the year, I have already planned out my things to-go-to and things-to-buy for this year. Unconsciously, all of what I have on my list are about or is connected to my Lomography addiction. Thus, coming out with my Analogue Bucket List.

I have learned about Larry Clark through his movies. I first saw his movie 'Kids' way back in college. My friends and I were so moved with it, we searched for more of his works. Then, discovered that he was a photographer first before venturing to movie directing. Thus, the fascination on this man.

A lot has been written and blogged about Manila’s very own Chinatown, Binondo. One common topic about these stories is Binondo is the place to be if you want to go on a food trip. Well, yes, but not necessarily! It’s true that Binondo has them all, but one of the most loved Chinese restaurants by Filipinos can’t be found in Binondo.
