Ever since I received my Diana F+ camera I've begun to see things differently. In an effort to acquire a collection of cool, dreamy, colorful, striking personal images, I have developed a different view of things I once considered mundane and ordinary. In a way, my Diana gave me a new set of eyes.

A couple of weeks ago I bought myself a “new” camera, I saw it on a facebook website that sells all kinds of vintage and retro stuff in Iceland. I didn’t have to look at the picture of it for longer than two seconds to write to the seller to reserve it for me, it just shouted at me –Love at first sight-.
I didn’t know anything about the camera beforehand, just thought it looked the part for me. Then following I started doing some research on it, just in case I made a bid on some total crap and found out exactly what it is and where it’s from.

A film based sharing cultural photo project for 2013. 11 pics from 8 people making 88of8. 8 people from China and 8 people from UK. Comparing and contrasting life today. I send out an olympus trip loaded with 36exp B&W film. You shoot the roll and return the film to me here in Devon, England. You then reload the camera and await instructions as to where next it should be sent.
It is a project involving a lot of trust but I am hopeful the results will out way the risks of losing my entire olympus trip collection. Anyway I want to try and do something photo project based to inspire my daughter who is doing A level photography in Exeter. She has agreed to assist me with developing the contact sheets and prints in our darkroom here at home. Will, in Shaghai, has agreed to develop the films from China and then forward the results.
