    @bkspicture, @pitfall: you don't need to ***** with the curves in order to get that look. If you overexpose the paper and then develop in more concentrated or heated developer, the development will be uneven and incomplete enough to give the "crayons" effect. Have your stop bath ready and once some acceptable density has been reached, drop the paper negative in it. I've done that before by accident, and it gives a similar effect. Follow this link:

    Yepp that's how it's done, but I use standard heat and concentration.
