Of Monsters, Men and Agfa Clack's.

I think I have made an acquaintance which will make me happy for a long time. Its an odd-ish story, so I’ll start at the beginning.

So, here’s little ole me, boppin’ around in my chair to some new music, while surfing the lomoweb. And what was the music that had me a’boppin’ you ask? Well, I shall tell you: Of Monsters and Men’s album, My Head is an Animal. Little Talks specifically. Anyway, I digress.

So I was surfing lomography, looking at the new posts, and looking at the blogs, when what should I spy but a post saying that someone (the wonderful Gautheirdumonde) is not only wanting to swap film, but wants to add a camera to the package! Woot!, yes please :D So I reply, the swap is confirmed and I now have to stop myself staring that the mail slot. In the mean time, while waiting for the great arrival, I shoot my swap films, go to work (of course), and throw some cups……. no, not at the wall, on the wheel, the pottery wheel to be exact, the staffroom has run out of coffee mugs again. I swear there must be a mug eating monster in the place. 27 mugs made in one day, not too shoddy. Ok, and i’m getting sidetracked again.

On Saturday I come home from chalking out a giant snake on the playground (the things you get asked to do) to find a package waiting for me, YAY!! My new swap is here, and a new camera! So what do I do you ask? Load it up and take out on a lomowalk of course! LOVE IT! The camera I was lucky enough to receive was an Agfa Clack. So simple, but such a joy to use. I really love this little old camera, its easy to load, easy to set… it has only one thing to change, the aperture/focus. A sunny f16-ish yellow filter, a normal in-between cloudy setting and then a close up lens correction. And the negatives are HUGE! :D I just couldn’t wait to process it. I had put a roll of my beloved fujiT64 in it to test it out and the Clack did me proud!

ahhhhh, its been a very good week. So here, fresh from the scanning bed, are some of the Clack’s photographs. :D

You forgot to mention the little very fifties customs thingy on the cam (it says DOUANE), I liked that. By the way I forgot to include the case, but it is only crapppy plastic, not even fake leather.
