This was a project I did during my freshman year of college. I entitled, My Body Broken for You. It was my way expressing my disgust with the idea of image and who decides what is beautiful and the lengths people are willing to go to to get there.

Long ago, there was a 2nd hand store nearby me that had this sad mannequin that they used to model their prize find of the week. About every month the proprietress would paint her a different colour, red, green, purple, tiger stripes, leopard spots in all colour combinations, with and without wig. Went on for decades. The place put their kids through college. They retired in the late '90's. I found a couple of my better cameras there. Don't know what happened to the mannequin. She deserved to be in a museum.
