Dog Days

While I was on a photo-shoot in lovely Petaluma with my parents for the shoe company my mother works with, I put my own camera to use. The dog is Charlie (short for Charlie-Ann) and she is one of the "model" dogs used in the shoot. This was late afternoon and both Charlie and I were bored. She was also begging to go play in the water. So I took her down to the beach (we were shooting in the boat shack at the end of the walk which you can see in the picture) and threw her ball out into the waves.

I had my Diana around my neck and I snapped a few quick ones while she was playing. I was dumbfounded when I pulled the negatives out of the developing tank; so amazed that such a quick shot came out so perfectly!

It is in the last couple of pictures on my 8th or 9th role using my Diana. It is among my top few favorites and I am very proud of it!
