Don't get misled by the term palace but our team of Daop-Sining artists who did psychosocial support to flashflood survivors in Cagayan de Oro City used the Bishop's Palace as our board and lodging. It's not really like a castle in Europe but more of a compound of dormitory buildings for religious people and those working on disaster relief and recovery operations. Before leaving for Iligan I took these shots of the compound including the cathedral. Our stay here was made comfortable by the generosity of the church people - the bishop, the priests and nuns who were on 24-hour work operation to provide vital support to the evacuees in many areas around the so-called city of golden friendship.
