The Horizon Kompakt has two fixed shutter modes, either of which you can select using the shutter speed switch located under the rewind wheel.
- Fast Mode – a white dot is visible. This corresponds to a high shutter speed (1/60 second) and should be used for outdoor photography with lots of sunlight.
- Slow Mode – a yellow dot is visible. This, on the other hand, stands for slow shutter speed (1/2 second) which is pefect for indoor and night shots.
The aperture is fixed so that means you cannot adjust it and and it yields an excellent depth of field of f/8.
