How do I check the shutter mechanism of my LC-Wide?

To manually check the shutter mechanism of your LC-Wide, simply do the following:

  1. Open the rear door of your LC-Wide by pulling up on the rewind crank; this is situated on the top left of your camera (as seen from behind).
  2. Now slide the lens cover switch over to reveal the lens, turn the advance wheel to cock the shutter, and use the shutter release to fire a shot.

Looking through the lens, you should see the shutter open and close. If the shutter stops working after using your camera a lot, then simply change the batteries. You should check the shutter every time you remove a roll of film, just to be on the safe side.
