Film 101: Is there such a thing as black and white slide film?

Yes, there is, well… was such a thing. (The film is no longer produced and Lomography.com does not offer it either) Agfa Scala is a type of black and white slide film.

But hey! Don’t be sad. Cross-processing can help you here too.

If you are looking into black and white slides, you can cross-process any black and white negative film and get a slide out of it. Be aware though, that the normal black and white negative films don’t have a completely transparent base layer.
